Special Election 2010

As mentioned in the Fall message from the president, we will be conducting a special election this month. In the last couple years, we piloted a new office called VP of Relationships and Faculty Liaison. This position has been the interface between the MSIDTAA and the MSIDT faculty. We would like to make this position official. In order to do so, we need you to vote. The election will be composed of two concurrent parts: 1) the approval of the new office; 2) the election of the current incumbent, Mark Worden. The Job Description for this office has been developed by the faculty and alumni officers.

This election will be open to all current, active members of the MSIDTAA. In order to be considered current and active, one must be a paid member of the CSUF alumni association and MSIDTAA. If you have joined the CSUFAA/MSIDTAA in the last 30 days, please email president@msidtaa.org to let us know. The email will be sent on October 10, 2010. Elections will close on November 10, 2010.

We need a 2/3 majority vote in order to approve this office in the MSIDTAA bylaws. Please vote!

VP of Relationships and Faculty Liaison
  • Acts as faculty liaison between CSUF MSIDT program and MSIDTAA providing communication and current information between both groups
  • Attends and represents the MSIDTAA during onsite MSIDT faculty meetings once per month at CSUF as a non-voting member
  • Attends MSIDTAA board meetings and gathers/shares updates within both MSIDT and MSIDTAA
  • Communicates current MSIDT program information to MSIDTAA for national and international cohorts
  • Partners with VP of Membership and VP of Programs in identifying MSIDTAA members who would assist with providing representatives at various MSIDT program activities such as the boot-up camp, midpoint symposium, commencement, etc.
  • May eventually serve as a member of the multi-representative MSIDT Advisory Board (future potential).
  • This office to be filled by an officer who has served a minimum of one term of the MSIDT Alumni Board.

We hope you will approve this role. It has been instrumental in growing MSIDTAA the last couple years.
Thank you,
Christy Zuehl
President, MSIDTAA
